I just finished reading about the martyrdom of Polycarp. The early church knew what it meant to be representatives of the King of Kings within a nation that viewed Ceasar as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. I'm not saying I wish I lived back then... I don't know how I would respond. We've got it pretty easy. I can be pretty bold in blogger world... but in the workplace I fear I'm often not the best ambassador. I’m not saying I wish I lived back then… I don’t know how I would respond. We’ve got it pretty easy. I can be pretty bold in blogger world… but in the workplace I fear I’m often not the best ambassador. And I haven’t even witnessed any real public burnings.
