Thanks for living out your faith by doing the unthinkable and leaving a great job. I've been there and done that. Was with the IMB 14 years. Knew God wanted me to "do something different in kind" in 1997 and made the leap from Regional Leader to something uncertain. I was amazed at God's provisions. I was amazed at the joy of creating something new from nothing. I would have always regretted not taking the leap. Ended up on an amazing journey that lead me to consult churches, work as a mega-church mission pastor, mission staff at Saddleback, create new ministries, start new churches and believe it or not - after an amazing journey, the IMB wanted someone with my "experiences." What a laugh. I'm back with the IMB.

So...all that to say...walk on bro! Be encouraged. Don't look back.

Sounds good man. How can a guy like me...living where I am...be involved? Todd L's article on his blog nailed us 100%. Any ideas?

Good luck on becoming a normal dude again. Its been three years for me and I think I am OK in my own skin again. I'm gonna guess you will like the change, given everything I've read from you. I recommend that you keep writing and posting about your transition. Folks need to hear from people like you. Theirs may not mimic your experience, but its so refreshing to just read something authentic from time to time. Too many bloggers try to preach instead of telling their story. The latter is a whole lot more interesting.

A pint with your name on it awaits in my pub anytime.
